Accomplishments:
During my assignment with MARCENT I was able to halt the decommissioning of
their Top Secret network by quickly deploying a Software baseline that
mitigated multiple critical software vulnerabilities. Soon after my
arrival I began the process of socializing various ideas for the future of
the customer’s network connectivity, disaster recovery posture, and
integration with the wider IC community. The end result was that
Marine Corp Central Command became the first Subordinate Centcom command to
complete a full migration to the DoDIIS Domain. This enabled my
customer to take advantage of true theater-wide networking and
collaboration tools. The disaster recovery plan on at this site was
non existent but I was able to acquire a suitable backup solution by
leveraging my reputation and inter-command contacts.
